I use the asics kayano. They have a really great gel support. I have two pairs of operating footwear: racing flats and my asics. I only use the flats for my race days and my asics for practice. But you if you run lengthy distances you have to obtain new running shoes approximately every three months. Also, for long distance runners, it is great to buy shoes leaving a thumb width of space between your toe and the shoe. Your feet end up swelling up during your run and rub on your footwear.
