if you are operating on mostly pavement, treadmills, and solid packed dirt, stick with a road shoe. if you've never been correctly fit for a operating shoe, i recommend you go to a running particular store to get measured and fitted properly. they are able to also tell you in case you pronate or supinate (roll your foot in or out whenever you step) and what your arch height is. a good fit can make a massive difference, take it from me. I've been operating for 10 years and just recently was fit properly, and the distinction is amazing. anyway, i like asics but everyone's various!
